Hausmoney™: How can I close my Hausmoney debit account?

This article provides guidance on how to permanently close your Hausmoney account.

Please keep in mind that once your account is closed, you will no longer be able to access it. While your account is still open, you can locate and download your account statements and tax forms using the Hausmoney app.


What if there's money in my account when I close it?

If there are funds in your account when you wish to close it, you should transfer your balance to a linked account through an outbound ACH transfer by using the Transfer feature in your Hausmoney Debit account.

Please ensure that any remaining funds in both of your Hausmoney accounts are transferred before you close your account.

  1. Open the Hausmoney app.

  2. Tap Transfer in the Hausmoney Debit section of your home screen.

  3. Use the drop-down menu to select the Hausmoney account from which you want to send money.

  4. Use the drop-down menu to select the external account where you want the money to be sent.

  5. Enter the amount you wish to send and the desired transfer type.

  6. Tap Transfer

To avoid any delay in receiving your funds, please ensure that this transfer is complete before you close your Hausmoney Account. Once you have completed these steps, you should expect the money to be posted to your linked account according to the selected transfer type.

If the funds in your account aren't transferred out prior to November 30th, any remaining money will be sent via paper check in January 2025.
